The shredder blade is one of the most important accessories on the
shredder. The quality of the shredder blade directly affects the
processing cycle of the machine on the waste.
According to the shredder structure classification, shredder blades
can be divided into single-axis shredder blades, multi-axis
shredder blades (including biaxial shredder blades and four-axis
shredder blades).
The uniaxial shredder blade, as its name suggests, is mounted on
the shaft of a single axis shredder and is called a moving knife.
The shape is square, with four arcs on the edge, tapping hole in
the middle, inward recessed part from the knife edge to the middle
hole, used with the fixed knife on the knife holder.
The multi-axis shredder blades are knives, and are installed on a
twin-shaft or four-shaft shredder according to the design of each
company. They can be divided into three-jaw shredder blades,
eight-jaw shredder blades and twelve-jaw shredder blades, etc., are
used for crushing, tearing, and squeezing to reduce the size of the
material. Such shredder blades are widely used for crushing waste
plastics, waste rubber, wood, and other bulky waste.
The material used to make shredder blades is generally 9crsi,
Cr12MoV, SKD-11. Among them, 9CrSi is an alloy tool steel. This
kind of material has high hardness and good wear resistance, but it
is brittle, and it is suitable for soft materials such as rubber,
fiber, and paper. Cr12MoV and SKD-11 are cold work die steels.
These two materials have similar properties, and have strong wear
resistance and strong impact resistance. They are suitable for
shredding wood, used furniture, and high hardness plastics.
